Q: What if when it’s my turn to pick, there isn’t a puppy I want?
A: You may skip this litter and move to the next. You may do no more than 2 skips.
Q: How do I travel the puppy to me? I live out of state?
A: We recommend hiring a flight Nanny, flying here yourself to travel with the puppy as a carry on. Or if you are in the radius hiring our instagram niece and her has and to Ground travel the puppy to you more details can be found here. (Travel page link)
Q: What kind of food are the puppies on?
A: unless otherwise specified, Most of our puppies are on Purina pro plan puppy food. You can find this food on Amazon or Chewy.com if you wish to transition your puppy to a new food we recommend waiting until they have been in the new home for at least 1-2 weeks and then slowly mixing the food. Any fast transitions may result in stomach upset and diarrhea.
Q: How much should I feed my puppy?
A: we recommend following the directions on the back of your dog food bag. Typically offering your puppy 1/2cup to 1cup of food 2-3x a day is a good start. More frequently might be necessary since some small puppies can get low blood sugar between meals. As always follow up with your vet and discuss any appetite or weight concerns.
Q: How frequently should I bath my dog?
A: all dogs have natural oils that are essential to their skin and coat health so it is important not to wash to frequently. But also take note a coat filled with dirt and debris is just as unhealthy if not worse. I personally would not bath my dog more than 1x per week unless absolutely necessary but wouldn’t recommend going longer than 2-4 weeks with out a bath.
Q:Are doodles hypoallergenic?
A:“Doodles are allergy friendly but not necessarily 100% hypoallergenic. Given most doodles are bred to breeds that are not hypoallergenic such as Golden Retrievers. There is a small chance they may shed or have some allergens. If you are a person with allergies I recommend getting a doodle with a higher % of poodle such as F1b instead of F1.
However our lap sized Havapoos are 100% hypoallergenic as Havanese and miniature poodles are both hypoallergenic breeds! It is important to note that all animals have dander and saliva. That these can still affect allergies no matter how hypoallergenic your pet may be.
Q: Are goldendoodles, Havapoos and Bernedoodles good emotional support dogs?
A: Yes all of these breeds are extremely friendly and love to people please which would make them good candidates for emotional support animals. However each puppy can have different personalities. So we would recommend talking with your breeder and asking which puppy is the most human focused. This type of puppy will have a higher drive to bond to you.
